Some human resource directors start rumors to get employees on their toes. I had a friend in HR and she told me. It keeps order somehow. Unless it's like a memo or media buzz, don't worry. Working it... Creative and descriptive. Good storytelling. And I am so glad that you're doing well. Goodnight :)

A good write of, perhaps our daily routines that take place with a certain wondering of what and why, even who. Some of these routines may even hinder others because of repetition.
One has to be careful to find balance, or the consequences will only manifest itself late on...when too late.
Best wishes, author.
A sensible write.

Hello Pamusart, this is a very political poem in mho. It really questions the status quo, and it's something I'm really interested in, just why are we on this treadmill and who is it benefiting because it really isn't the worker anymore. They are on contracts and not full-time, allowing for them to be exploited, and that's if you get the goods your flogging here, and not in India or China. Workers are barely protected or paid there. I believe we are no longer real democracies, but free-market economies. We have lost sight of true democracy and are prisoners in cubicles as you so eloquently say. But the trouble is, quite simply, no government will ever get into power on a ticket of 'less' not 'more'.
Loved this poetic offering, Ana.

Where I worked, I was management. There was a Union for non management employees. They had job securities, better health plans and paid overtime and a lunch. My normal workweek was 60-90 hours and I only got paid for 40. Management was exploited because all of that extra labor is free.

I am not sure anything I write about is new. But, I do write a lot about the importance of family

There was actime I am told when employment was ...you know...something less than 23 hours a day, when we saw the family we were working to support, when job performance mattered..
Morale is expendable...robots do not whine or call out sick...
It is a depressing ball of stress....
I am glad I am retired!

A very in depth look at the mindset and issues of full time work and
the follow on effect it has on the family dynamic.
The description is detailed and exacting and paints a recognisable
image of the issues.
It felt like the workday clock in rewind for me and... I'm glad I don't
march to the beat of that drum anymore.

Wow, Shirley. Thank you so much for giving me one of your precious six star ratings. I so appreciate it. Thank you, also for your lovely review. At least in our parents? day, you could count on retiring with benefits at the cane company for life. It is this threat of being unemployed that drove me crazy. Every day I went to work it worked from home, I wondered if this was the day. Take care
