I got a great big smile and "kick" out of this humorous poem. It is so true. We all want to be "mum's" favorite child. The only solution is to be an only child and that's no fun either, so I have heard from those who are. I love your solution to the problem with the Bali t-shirts. Marilyn

Lol. I sure admire you moms who had kids close in age as you had to referee so much of the day! My kids are ten years apart so never really had to pull them apart. Even so, they each probably think the other one is the favorite!

HAHA, love the ending on this one, Christine. That line is priceless and of course every mother on the planet who has to deal with this nonsense can totally related and would get a good chuckle out of this finely metred and rhymed poem.

Really, really good.

Hi Chrissy, very well written and even though it is tongue in cheek, as you say, it is very down to earth and a good banter between you and the kids. Very lifelike. Well rhymed poem that flows well with good rhythm. Love the story in your author notes about the Tshirts - what a laugh. Keep up the good work. Warm regards Dorothy x

Christine--Thank you for the chuckle! I've never thought about a mother's feelings towards her kids (I'm not a mother), so it was refreshing to see your honesty and light touch dealing with your children. You are obviously a lovely person. Well done!

A very well-written poem. It sounds very familiar. My children always see the other as the favorite and never themselves. I just laugh at them each time because I treat them all the same.

This was beautiful and very well done Christine. I think every parent goes through the stress of the bickering and tales unless of course there is only one child. I really enjoyed the different answers you provided and I especially enjoyed the t-shirt story in your notes. Each child is a precious as the one before or the one after, but it is a life long challenge for parents to convince them of that. Good reading flow and rhyme pattern. Thanks for sharing.

hi Ary, Thank you and footnote each child still has their special T Shirt LOL so I secretly think they were pleased to receive it and they know I dont have favourites. My grandies are all special too Cheers Christine

That can be a tough job for any parent. Not showing any favorites is a challenge. Now grandbabies are a different story because they get to go home with their parents lol, enjoy them Christine.
