lol, This is such a cute 5-7-5, my friend. It's so funny but true, kids and pets both hide in plain sight thinking no ones the wiser, lol Good luck, ~Kerry

I think this is a good entry for the 5-7-5 Poetry writing prompt.
Your cute verse is well matched by the very cute picture.
Well done and good luck to you with this one in the competition.

This is a wonderful and thought provoking poem. The message is clear and resonates through these few lines. We do indeed engage in this activity instead of being transparent. Great job Pam and well done.

Hi, Jeffrey. If we were totallytransparrnt we would hurt a lot of people. Oh that is an ugly dress
We pretend we like the dress. Thanking

Very nice poem. Clever contrasting children and adults. Yes in deed, adults hide their minds but that is necessary as stepping beyond politically correct norms can be catastrophic. We have a president who gets away with it every day. Not so the rest of us. Again- very nice!

Wow. Thank you Frank for one of your precious six star ratings. I so appreciate it. Thank you for your thoughtful review

I agree totally. In fact, we teach children to hide certain thoughts so as not to hurt the feelings of others. Suppressing those thoughts are good

"Hide and Seek", short, succinct and very much to the point. This talented poet's thought-provoking piece was a pleasure to both read and review. You KEEP WRITING and I'll KEEP READING. I look forward to seeing your next post.

HELLO PAMUSART: Reading your poem here really stimulates my inspiration to reply to it.
All of us grownups were, "once upon a time," children. So true. Back then we thought that if we cannot see you, then you cannot see us. So we hid our bodies. But, my, my, my; I've imagined that the same misconception grows up with us. And as we age the misconception grows up with us, and develops into error. Then error develops into self denial, thus we hide our minds. And guess what, Pamusart. We never out grow our childhood misconception. YES. We now think that because we cannot see people, people cannot see us. So we move the pillow down and cover our ( bottoms.) But now...what about..."Yooo-Hooo. I.C.U. Just my thoughts, Pam. rhonnie69.

This is wonderful Pam. The photo a perfect pairing with a good social commentary, even though at this stage in history we have to be a little careful about showing our minds. ;-)

And yes, the photo is so cute.

Great job and best wishes to you in the contest.

well, that's the cutest picture I've seen in a while. It does make you laugh.
your poem makes a good point. I wonder, though, if some adults are seen through as easily. At any rate you picked a winner for an accompaning picture.
OR - you may be referring to shy folk who keep their thoughts to themselves due to being self conscious or unsure of themselves. All kinds of reasons, I guess, for hiding your mind. good job.

I remember the days when my children were young and they thought if they couldn't see me that I couldn't see them. LOL !

This is a sweet little poem with a perfect picture.

Blessings
