Awe,Sandra, what has happened to Mildred? Yes, it is a heart attack, but it doesn't seem right. I can't wait for the result of the tests. Oh, I so hope she will be alright.
Just a couple of things:
I guess it's due to his job. If he couldn't, he'd never cope with what he has to see and do every day.= I guess it was due to his job. If he couldn't he'd never cope with what he had to see and do every day.
I smiled at the memory, and saw James was thinking the same thing. That was the day James offered her his kitchen steps to stop her having a similar accident in the future... which he didn't have. I'm not sure about this sentence.
Do you mean she never had an accident in the future, or did James not have any steps hence he went buying some? Love the story as you know. A big hug. Ullaxxxx

Thank you so much for the six stars, Ulla!! James had to go out and buy the steps, it was an excuse to come and see them again. This was in the first book when James was trying to get a date with Veronica. It worked as you know! lol. Thanks for finding the errant comma. We will see what's wrong with Mildred in the next part. :)) Thanks, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

A rather good chapter of explanation, Sandra, or at least a start. Poor Mildred, a heart attack, but not finding a reason is annoying to James and Veronica. Mildred may be old but she is definitely an important member of the family. This had a great reading flow and an amazing plot line. Thanks so much for sharing, I eagerly await the next chapter. Very well done. Big hugs and smiles.

She absolutely has to be all right. That's all there is to it. I won't stand for anything else. LOL Love the the story and I never expected this to happen.

Kneeling down on the opposite side to me, he put his fingers on the pulse in her neck and then lifted each of her eyelids. (kneeling implies down, down isn't needed)

Having almost convinced myself, I went back down the stairs to wait. (you don't need 'the')

Worrying times for the folks here with Mildred's mystery affliction. maybe a higher power is meddling...

it might something simple like a very low blood sugar count - might be something.

Veronica's so worried about Mildred, and that makes me worried. You've made me fall in love with these characters of yours far too much, LOL!

Another brilliant and moving piece of writing that deserves a straight six.

Here's a little something to correct below:

Try not to worry, it might (be) something simple like a very low blood sugar count

#Thank you so very much for the 6 lovely stars, Aki, and for finding that missing 'be'. I must have read that so many times yet never spotted it. I'm really pleased you like my characters, I'm already talking about them as if they are real! lol. Thanks my friend. :) Sandra xxx

I'm just wondering ir, in fact Mildred herself went back in time to Joe and Rosie's time, and she's cleverly sorted something, although James says she was normal, none of the normal things, then why did she go missing. Your story is excellent dear Sandra. A couple of years you were a poet, there's hope for the rest of us, well done. Blessings, Roy

This speaks the story so catchy since the beginning, fantastic free flow of thoughts, live taletelling, influencing climax, happy ending; we worry the same way; things happen in its own unexpected ways; yes doubtlessly she will be alright; well said, well done. DR ALCREATOR

before bringing my legs up and tried to relax. ( and trying to relax)(agreement)
"Sweetheart, listen to me carefully, (period, new sentence) Mildred has had a heart-attack.
The relief I felt was only overshadowed by the fear of it happening again. (of what happening again?)
I really need to go back and read your first book LOL.

Thank you so much for finding those errors! I've made the corrections now. This one is nearly finished now, and then I'll be starting the final book in the trilogy ... after a break. :)) Sandra xx

This looks like an interesting story. Too far on your chaps for me to say going back to catch up. But per this chapter alone, I can see it is a well- thought out plot with lots of challenge as it is about travelling through time. Hmmm.... congratulations on all the other chaps you've managed to write so far. And for the rest, best wishes.

Hello, Sandra, :)

Good chapter. I'm wondering what is wrong too -- wonder if you know yet? Sometimes when I write I have no idea what will happen, it just comes out.

Take care,
Nome
