well done! I enjoyed this because it was so realistic. That may sound like a 'duh' thing to say but harder to write than some may think. ( Me included!). :-)

I felt the drama of the wait for the call, the sleep that eluded her. Worry about how to tell the children. It was all real. Wonderful writing, my friend.

Hi, Sandra. It's so good to be back and readin your posts again. Your descriptions are top notch like this one: "unable to keep the wobble out of my voice." (Clear imagery)

And: "It was raining when we woke up a short while later. It didn't matter what time we went to bed; our internal alarm clocks woke us up at the usual time."

Suggestions: "the opposite side to me," (the opposite side of me)

And: "more once I can start doing some tests." (Once I can do some tests) is a bit better, I think)

And sometimes just the right word can make a thought more clear like here, Sandra: : "Tiredness washed over me." How about "Fatigue washed over me...etc."

Exciting chapter and well written, my friend. Blessings, Bob

Judging by the emphasis and aura surrounding Mildred, I suspect a vital part of the narrative.
Good bedside scenes....the emotions in the right place.
You did well with thee first Book (which I loved) this seems on the same road.
Best wishes.
RG

Thank you so much, RG. I'm so pleased you enjoyed this part. Yes, Mildred evolved from just being the maid, into a very important character in the books, she has gained the affections of so many readers. We'll wait and see what happens. Thanks, my friend. Sandra xxx

A bit of new drama. I'm hoping it's just that, a little added zest to the story. We can't do without Mildred.

Excellent chapter again. It's like being in the room with them while they talk. 8-)

I did not find any errors. It is well written, flows very well and held my interest. I liked that the woman was conscious and living and would most probably make it. You have a good title for the book with "this time, that time," because it seems to be in all manner of time zones here and there. Thanks or sharing.

Well, I sure hope Mildred will be alright. There aren't that many likable character in any stories, so we need all the nice ones we can read able. LOL! Thanks for sharing. :-)

Very well done as is all your writing. It is a great concept to travel back and forth in time. I often wish I could do the same. =} Do you know Who Steven Lawhead is? He is a Christian writer and he wrote a book called The Iron Hand, it was like this but it is a man who travels back and into medieval times. I loved it. He has also written a series on King Arthur called The Pendragon Cycle. It amazing. I could not put it down. Anyway, this is great. You are such a good writer. Oh and the guy who always had 3 pages of my errors, quit reviewing me. I think he gave up. Poor thing. =} Rox

Thank you so much, Rox, for your really nice review. I wouldn't get to upset about that reviewer. We all lose some. No, I hadn't heard of Steven Lawhead, I'll look on Amazon and Google to see what he's done. Thanks, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

This chapter kept the reader glued to his seat from beginning until the end. The chapter has lots and lots of emotions and plenty of imagery. The picture selection is great.

I suspect the time travel had something to do with Mildred's collapse, but what? You certainly have a
splendid imagination Sandra. I can't wait to learn what happened when Veronica returned from Sir John's attic.
Well done Sandra. Nancy

I like this. Very strong and real. The read can easily relate. I put the phone down and went slowly up the stairs. Everything was working on autopilot; going to the bathroom, wiping my face over, brushing my teeth, getting into my nightdress, climbing into bed and laying down. I watched a moth that had sneaked in through the window and was now flitting around the ceiling light. Why do they do that? They know they'll get burnt, yet they still go back for more.... Why did Mildred have a heart attack? She takes such good care of herself. I feel as if I don't know anything anymore.
