A soulful/deep reflection my friend; unique in its theme with a combination of faith and emotion, "My Pisgah? To see love abound."-Amen!

I agree so with the author notes, my friend. A lovely ABC poem with the use of rhyme which adds so much to it. Best wishes in the contest, my friend. This is a great entry~Debbie

The story of Moses; his sin was pride. His punishment was more than it should have been. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

I'd have to agree, Craig, that a compassionate world would indeed be many people's idea of "Pisgah". This was interesting to read about what Pisgah means.

Your poem is a strong entry for the ABC contest. It's a very original premise to write about. I enjoyed reading your ABC (FGHI) poem. Perfect pairing of picture and poem too. Well done! Good luck in the contest, Craig. ~~ Connie

Hey, Craig...

A super entry, in my opinion, well done with taking a bible story, one packed with a sense of a lot of effort to get there, the sense that you know something of desire exists, and it should be a hop-skip-jump away, but the distance is more than infinite. The taunting of it being in view, yet out of reach.

I couldn't even tell it was an ABC poem because the words all meshed so well that the constraint of having a starting letter was secondary to the fitting of the poem.

I wondered if visually an extra line between the story and My Pisgah? But... an idle wondering.

Strong poem.

A very well-written poem about tgd Pisgah of Moses. We have many views that may never realize, but Ibthink we should never give up hope while we still are alive.

Hello Craig,
I share your Pisgah. I, too, yearn for an unapathetic, compassionate world.
Your ABC poetic offering is soulful, spiritual, and splendid.
It tells a beautiful story while offering the reader your own personal/social commentary at the end. Simply wonderful.

Thank you for sharing!

I do like this one! Pisgah is such an unlikely word and you have woven it most eloquently into this short poem about two promised lands, the one that Moses never set foot on and the one that seems to slip further from our grasp day by day, with the dangerous posturing of our leaders.

I think this is a good entry for the 'ABC Poetry' writing prompt.
Your short verse uses the ABC structure well and tells a clear story.
Well done and good luck to you with the competition.

Good one. Good word. We all have our pisgahs I guess, different for each of us. What's worse... never having something you want or having it and then losing it?
