I appreciated your poem. It's a good message and not just for "poor mothers". The elderly are often targeted because they too, are 'easy marks'. People who prey on the helpless, old and the weak, I don't know what punishment awaits them but I just hope there is one. Best wishes.

Very well written six line poem Nassus. I hate people who become rich of the poverty of the poor. Here in Holland there is a saying: Someones death is the other's bread,
or something like that. Sayings are difficult to translate. Well done!!! Fia

So true that the loan sharks prey on the ones who are least able to pay them back. It's awful. Then there are stocks that are bundles of debt. I just can't understand it. Great way to express the heartlessness of these types of people who gain from others' losses.

This is a very descriptive poem that talks about creditors. You've used quite a few interesting and very colorful adjectives describing the noun. I really like this funny and well written and well thought out poem. Well done Susan!

You reflect upon one of the sad and sinister reality of such evil that victimize the innocent without any guilt; I remember back in the 70s and 80s where these evil predators have businesses in the proximity of military bases and were quite successful in making money out of the GIs.
