I do feel sorry for folks who get in a bind and have to borrow from unscrupulous lenders. I suppose we've all been there--or uncomfortably close. It's particularly heartbreaking when there's never an opportunity to save for that rainy day. We'll done. :) Nancy

I loved your poem! The verbiage you used, is delightful and vivid! Your words painted pictures, which is always writing that I am attracted to. Your message was right on point and I couldn't agree with you more. There are so many professional con-artists out there -- it never ceases to amaze me how much creative energy they put into finding new ways to 'scam' people --- just think if they were to use that creative energy in a positive, thoughtful and loving manner!

Six line poem gets to the point and does it very well. I was a banker and saw first hand some clients that were misled by a creditor. The client had stellar credit but was leered in by a fast talking creditor, who would take out all debit and give x cash back. He made it sound so easy. The rate ended up being more than a bank could charge per regulations. When the client came in and sat down with me, the the proper governing unit was given all the documentation and a fine was issued, however, client lost her home. It truly makes it difficult for the reputable and honest institutions and lenders.

The arrival of payday loans as they are called in UK has led so many people into the hell of these exorbitant interest, short term loans that suck the unwary in to have them paying back more than they can afford. As often as not they back up their demands with violence in evenyt of non payment.

You expressed the sentiments of many people. I heard of cases where creditors actually call people's work places, which I think should be off-limits.
I blame the creditors who give the poor and cash-tight people credit cards with considerably high interest rates, making it more difficult to pay the bills or take a decade to repay. Hopefully, something could be done about this dilemma.

So true, it is easy for people to fall prey to such rotten scoundrels. And they of course know how to find these people.

This is how some people view creditors. But we do pick our own creditors by taking out credit cards and bank loans and such. If everyone would just learn to save and be able to cut up credit card and just use cash, then there would be a lot fewer creditors.
