Your changes are for the best. I was thinking a chapter in the book, is this not part?
Sir John reminds me of the movie Harvey with Jimmy Steward opening the door for an invisible 7 ft. rabbit. LOL.

Thank you so much, Ben, for the lovely review and all the lovely stars. Yes, it's in the book and it's beginning to draw to the end. Probably 6 more parts to the end. BIG ENDING!! LOL. Big hugs, my friend. :) Sandy. xxxxx

I wonderfully written chapter, though I must confess to being lost as to what's going on since I have missed so many previous chapters. Take care, my friend~Debbie

Thank you so much for reading this part, Debbie. I've not been able to keep up with reviewing either. My brother is seriously ill. I'll be trying to catch up when I can. Thank you again, my friend. Big hugs. Sandra xxx

-An excellent chapter, Sandra.
-You set the chapter up well with Meg
being suspicious of all these people coming in.
-In addition, you show the fear of Francis
since he has been so shut off from people.
-The strong part of the story
is Rosie's rapport with Francis.
-You showed her as a natural mother
who loves children, and intends to
love Francis. It was beautifully done, my friend.
-Gwendolyn is relieved to see someone
will lovingly take care of Francis.
-Then, you leave us in suspense about Mildred,
and we know Ver. will be totally distraught.

Thank you so much for your really lovely review, Pam. Your thoughts on the different parts of the story are always more appreciated than you realise. You ease my mind on certain points, so a huge thank you for that. Of course, the biggest hug is for the wonderful array of stars that you manage to boost up with the rainbow of golden stars that fly across the bottom, I love them. Biggest hugs, dear friend. :) Sandra xxx

You are very welcome and deserving, Sandra. I am glad you like my comments on the various parts of the story, as well as the extra special stars. You have done a great job with Rosie in this part of the story.

Hello Sandra,
This chapter is very well done with excellent interaction of Frances and Rosie.
Children are usually shy with strangers, even in "normal" situations.
Gwendolyn and Rosie understand the key is to get down on their level
and show interest in the their toys. Imagine what a strange adult looks like to a child -
a frightening giant (like Sir John) You developed this scene quite well.
And wouldn't you know it, Veronica goes whisking off into the future just in the nick of time,
as she finds Mildred on the floor.
Love the chapter and the little toy train picture, perhaps the little train that could.
Well done
Robert

I'm at my best with children, Robert, I find them so easy to bond with as they are on my intellectual level! lol Actually, they are far brighter than I am on some subjects. I'm finding I'm having to consult them more and more when I have a problem. Ageing is not my favourite part of living. :( Thank you so much for another wonderful review, my friend, and for all the lovely stars. I appreciate both so much. Big hugs, my friend. Sandra xxx

Leading a double life would be so confounding. So i'm sure is as she says home... to find tragedy, her best friend... maybe alive, maybe not... we will find out soon enough. for me i hope she remains in the book. yours, di

Another terrific chapter, Sandra. You had me on the edge of my seat watching Rosie win Fransis' confidence. The ending sounds a bit ominous, though. Don't tell me Mildred is ill - I would be so sad if anything happened to her!

Hugs from sunny Glasgow,

They sent Ian home from hospital AGAIN, and his wife phoned me at 01:10 this morning, telling me he had collapsed and she called for an emergency ambulance. I'm just leaving to go to see him now. I have to find out just what they are doing to him! So worried. :( xxx

So they finally meet Francis. He's shy but eager to play, so that's good news. Why does his grandpa shout at him? Or he DID at one time.
Spectactular post worth ten stars at least. :)

He's Francis' uncle, and he thinks the lad is the son of the devil, they were so ignorant two hundred years ago about albinos. Some still are today. It's sad, isn't it? Thank you so much tor reading this part, my dear friend. I know how tired you are so I really appreciate your review. The 6 stars, just topped it nicely. Keep resting, and then you'll soon be back with us. Love you lots, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

Another excellent chapter portrayed just right as would happen with a shy child. Showed a lot of feeling and understanding making for an emotional read.
