Oh, oh! The parakeets should have been practicing their high wire act. Cute dialog between the two. Flut brags about getting whistles. Love Flit's comment that it's Flut that's doing the whistling. Clever names for the two. Excellent rhyme. You are the Edgar Allan Poe of the animal kingdom, you kill off so many creatures. judi

Ha! ha! Get to the bottom of what's driving this desire to kill off little critters. judi

So a whole new world you have begun when I have not checked in lately. Guess this part of the bird world already ended though. Well spun.

Sorry I'm out of sixers, Bill. You deserve one just on word choices alone. Clever, cute, humorous with good rhyme and whimsy. Great job with this one. Marilyn

Hahahahahaha, oh Bill, you're incouragable. I'm laughing my head off. How bad you are. But I bet the cat had a great time!!. I'm still laughing. Oh dear, where the heck do you get it from? All the best. Ulla:))

Note to all eatable and digestible life forms, be very careful of to whom you might appear to be a healthy snack. Please believe me, you do not want to look like a feast to one hungry enough to devour you on sight.

AAww c'mon Bill, be nice! don't have all the birds eaten by rampaging cats! I could have thought of a much nicer end to this piece. But then it wouldn't be your poem would it? The parrots you've illustrated this piece with are actually budgerigars. Here in Oz nearly every home had/has a cage with a couple of budgies in it. Lots of children breed them and make themselves some pocket money. All you had to do to keep these two safe was to enclose the gym in a cage, but No! Well I hope the cat gets a bad attack of feather tummy. cheers Cass

The cat was actually working for security. These two were not members and were chased off. If they were injured later, it was an unrelated event. It could be that they were birdnapped by ruthless Ozites trying to get pocket money through ransom. Doesn?t that seem more likely?

Oh consarnit and tarnation, I'm out of order again, but what the heck that error on my part most certainly hasn't lessened the enjoyment I'm taking from your counting posts about the boidies.

Cats! They're just like that, aren't they?

Another terrifically unique and massively humorous post.

Gloria

Another parakeet death? What do you have against parakeets? LOL

Cute conversation between these two birds at the gym. Imagine that.

I really like this.

No writer are you telling me that the cat ate both the parakeets is that what you're saying I hope not I don't like stories like that. Alright then let's say this I think about the old Looney Tunes of the Tweety Bird and the Pussycat. And that old cat always was trying to eat up the Tweety Bird for the Tweety Bird managed to get away I was hoping that the parakeets would do the same LOL
