I know you have been through some earthshaking days and nights with you wife at deaths door but you must stand firm in your knowledge that we have a friend in Jesus and God loves us. This is a very well written poem about being attacked by satan at the wrong time. I can totally relate to this my friend. We don't really know where or why some actions or feelings come from. You used very good words and imagery from your words.

Nothing like depression.... IT is insidious. Before we know it we are immobilized by the darkness, discontent and sadly trapped. I am sorry it's come around again...but I've been there and up and out and back again.... There are meds, there is therapy, but mostly? There is faith. God is the truest bright light. Follow HIM!

Hello Mike, I hope you're not falling today, and your poem captures the repeating cycle of depression very well. I'm not a sufferer, at all, but I can empathize with those that do, to a point, as you can't speak too authoritatively about something you've never experience. Churchill called it his 'black dog' and I'm sure you will relate to that term. I loved the poem, so well written and I wouldn't change a thing, have a good day, Ana.
