This thirty-syllable poem, Spring Rain, uses those limited syllables to remind us why we love spring time so much. The natural air fresheners make the staid and dull air worth breathing.

I love the smell of spring rain. I really like the way you describe it. You say that it smells like perfume. I've never thought of it like that, but, that's an excellent analogy. I like this well written little poem. Well done Sugarray77.

Sugarray, this is an excellent entry for the 30 syllables poem contest. All syllables are in check to allow the reader to feel in the moment of smelling fresh rain. Wonderful! ~DD

Now the rain isn't always applauded and often makes one feel gloomy. Important as rain is it can be at times most annoying. But when one sits and watches it as it falls, it can be relaxing and as you describe freshens the air and underlines how beautiful spring can be. A rare reflection if you ask me, but nice of you to thank the sky for the rain even though it pours for days at times...And to remind me as many it not there only for us to complain...

Thanks for the good review. I can see you have to deal with the gray skies. But, yes I?m grateful for every drop.

It has been a wet long winter and seek the sunshine for now until the rain will once more be missed. The seasons are great but at times prolonged and one gets nostalgic for another... but rain and sunshine may create a grumbling face but both important for life to flow. Again an unusual piece and yet how the rain can be truly missed and again as you described it divine...bravo from me and the rain again. nartoon la

Nice imagery in this 30 syllable poem. Great visuals, and a very effective artwork to accentuate your words. I wish you the best of luck in the contest, love, Y.

What a beautiful photo to accompany your poetry. And you did not waste one word in your poem. All 30 syllables were put to good use to explain your spring rain. It mingles all the human senses.

A very well-written thirty syllable poem about
spring rain that washes away all the dust and bring a freshness to the air. A welcome shower to wash the winter away.

A spring rain is the best rain, especially in California, where winter rain can rain for days non-stop. Your poem has good images of raindrops gently falling on the windowsill and splashing into the room without alarm but with a quiet invitation. I can almost smell the sweet smell of the clean washed air, like a lovely perfume.

Not too often we decide to celebrate the fall of rain but here it is done with an artistic touch 'wafting a lovely perfume' and such an appropriate pic
