Subtle humor in the opening. It took me a couple of reads to get why Pons thought he was seeing double.
Don't know iffin it was vinyl, LOL.
If I taught this play, I'd end the unit with students trying to read this aloud-- and they thought Shakespeare was hard to understand!

I told you before that I had to do some research about jellyfish. It helped - a bit. I have some trouble in translation still but get enough of it to laugh out loud.I wonder what Shakespeare would have thought of Ned's review. Marge

He would have said
"Methink?st thou art a general offence and every man should beat thee.?

I am not a pro on how to score a script but I know dialog is key. This was super funny and I enjoyed. Love the idea of reviewing Shakespeare's "Taming of the jellyfish."

Comment from Gloria ....
S is for Shrew. I will never forget that great humour, Bill.
haha beside oneself. Thanks for the line, I may have to borrow it at some point in the future.
No truer words have ever been spoken. Shikspeer is a dang kidnapper.
This is hilarious and so unique. A big hit here. :)
Thanks for making me laugh. That's always appreciated.

Great job and I can see the effort you put into this play scene. It is well done, well written and I must be honest and disclose that I am not that big a fan of dialog written in dialect. However , I do know what is done well and your work is done well. Thanks for sharing.

I am new and have never clicked on a script to read.....curiosity got the better of me and I thought I might learn a thing or two about the proper way to write, say, a sitcom or something.....
Guess perhaps this was not my best choice for THAT...but it was (oddly) amusing and I feel like I was halfway in a script reading class and halfway in a SpongeBob Square Pants episode!

It's amazing how patient Pons is with Ned's complete misunderstanding and contortions of words he doesn't know. However, his version of Taming of the Shrew might be hit!

Oh, this is too much. The Taming of the Jellyfish. Trust you to get a jellyfish in there somewhere. Ned's pronunciations are so funny. I especially like vinyl. Funny conclusion with Ned wanting to call Shakespeare. When Pons mentions saving Romeo and Juliet, Ned thinks they have been kidnapped. Shakespeare will have a lot to answer for if Ned ever gets hold of him. Great fun. judi

I believe that Ned's brain is so small that a ten cent magnifying glass is all you need to investigate its workings. Poor Ned, maybe he was dropped on his head when he was a baby, or maybe he is just dumb as hell.

Ned is in need of something; that's certain.

You did a great job of combining Scene at a Play with Jellyfish World--a few good laughs, as always. The only thing that's got me confused is where you found a drawing of Jellyfish Shakespeare?
