Your well rhymed verse tells a good story of winter lingering.
We've noticed a difference in weather patterns here as well. I think that it will keep getting stranger as the patterns keep changing.
Love the artwork as well.

Such beautiful imagery that you painted with your words in your poem about the season. I loved how you used the seasons of weather to explain the seasons of our moods. I think each of us does have that "wintery" cocoon blues from time to time. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Cindy for your lovely review and 5 star rating. I have never heard of the phrase Cocoon blues? Does it mean having the blues from being stuck inside?

This is a well written poem describing winter being late. You give the reader a message about how fickle the seasons seem to be. I like the wording and the superb way it flows. You've done a fine job in writing this. Well done Pam.

Comment from Meia (MESAYERS)
The leaves speak with tongues that tell us of cold,
While other great tales of winter are told
The chilly fall leaves, now starting to molt
Are set to foment a wintry revolt ...beautiful lines. Exquisite and so meaningful for me since it is nearly April and in the North of the UK we are still being hammered by snow and biting cold winds. Scotland is even worse! Never a sunny day. It really affects my mood. Well done this makes me feel better. I am not alone. Plus it is so well written. Kindest regards Meia xx

Thank you, Meia. I know that for the states an effect called the arctic blast that is making the northeast very cold and dumping a lot of snow. The reason why the arctic blast is more common now is due to global warming. The Arctic has melted so much ice that icebreakers are able to clear paths for ships. By 2050, it is predicted that in the summer there will be no snow or ice on the Arctic land mass. Thank you so much for your lovely teview and five star rating. I am glad it helped you feel better

This is a nicely written poem! You are right in saying that the different seasons do alter all of our moods. I find that winter has been the worst for me because it's almost April, and we are still getting some snow storms. Your words paint a clear image in my mind, and the metaphors you used added to the effect. Great work :)

Great artwork and I love winter to be late as long as it does not linger into spring. I love the last two lines, very inventive, as seasons often affect our mood so this line resonates with me, love Dolly x

Agreed about fall and winter. Most people like the sun. But, summers are too hot and smothering for me. I prefer fall to summer. Thank you so much for your delightful review and five star rating
Comment from Roxanna Andrews
wonderful poem, perfect rhyme and meter. I see the news of your awful snow storms. In FL we barely have a winter. I wouldn't mind just a bit of arctic blast, just a tiny bit as I wouldn't want all that snow. No wonder FL is filling up and so much building. I don't blame anyone for wanting to get out to that. I do hope things warm up soon and you have a spring.

Thank you, Roxanna for your lovely review and five star rating. I do not live in the Northeast. I was using the spate of blizzards in the Northeast because the data is recent. I live in sunny California. But, I used to live in Indianapolis. Our next to last winter there, we had temperatures of -45f with wind chill. People going outside for a smoke or walking dogs died where they stood. Pouring water on the ground. It was ice before it hit the ground. The cause? Arctic Blast. Thank you. Take care

I liked it - and I have never thought of seasons in that way. Here in Southern California the only seasons we have at salt, pepper, and oregano. But if we adopt your view, we can indeed have seasons - thank you.

All I can say is I can't find words to describe yours...
Something rises from your soul with every write..
I am likely decades older than you....
But I want to be you when I grow up!
