Hello Sandra,
Poor Joe, it seems he can't win no matter what he does.
I didn't picture Joe as such a wimp. though.
Didn't they kidnap his kids, I'd think he'd be fightin' mad.
Looks like Veronica will have her hands full convincing Rosie,
but the money to raise Frances, safety and moving
closer to her family might hold some sway.
If Sir John balks, Veronica can always become the ghost of Gwendolyn again.
I think that would convince anyone from 1846 or even now. lol
Another excellent chapter in your book.
Well done.
Robert

    Hello, Robert,
I'm not commenting on Joe. LOL. Poor man is in trouble whichever way he goes, but.... :)) Yes, it's good to have a ghost on your side, I have a few! More answers will come a about in the next part, and more questions. :Thank you so much, my dear friend, for the lovely stars and fabulous review!! Big hugs, Sandra xxxx

Joe didn't handle this situation very well, did he? I can't wait to see if Veronica can solve this problem. Of course, she can, but how? Once again you have a good post on your hands.

The story is turning to a heated point and it seemed like the plan, Veronica is hatching would fail without the needed cooperation of Rosie. The story ended with a bad hint arousing the interest of the readers to wait for the next post. Well done.

Aww, thank you so much for the lovely 6 stars, Ben, that is so kind of you. It was a shock for the poor man, LOL, but he soon came around when he realised how much he could gain from this. Now he has to convince Rosie... but can he do that? lol Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandy. xxxx

Whoops, that didn't go well, lol. Nice work on this part, Sandra. I think I missed a previous part, but I was able to follow along. The plan sounded simple, but Rosie's not having it.

Take care,
Russell

Joe's definitely got himself in a pickle now don't he?
Rosie doesn't seem none too pleased about his decision.
Veronica will need to intervene quick like.
Great pace to this story, and I'm amazed at how Veronica can keep her wits about her, jumping back and forth through time.
Talk about jet lag.
Great writing!
Michael

Oh boy... Yeah, Rosie sounds on board alright!!!

And we still don't know what Sir John's going to say about it all yet...
Very good chapter, Sandra.

Oh, I'm sure she will when she hears the plan in its entirety. A chance to live near her mother? A way for Joe to have his own business to support his family and Francis. She will calm down and accept the deal I'm sure and Sir John should be more than happy with it. Good chapter Sandra. Hope it works for everyone's sake. Nancy

Well Rosie isn't making this plan go smoothly at all. Did Joe forget to mention the chocolate business and moving to Bristol where she'll be closer to her mom. Sheesh! Veronica should throw something heavy at her lol! Looking forward to the next chapter. Sorry I didn't catch up on the earlier chapters as I promised. First my ipad gave out on me. Then Molly was here for two days and a sleepover. Now I'm doing a brief catch up before Simone and Mason arrive for their weekend stay with us. I will catch up this week, I hope.

Oh, Bless you, Joy, you have a life to sort out besides your FS life. I can quite understand you not having the time to catch up. But, you have a good understanding of this plot, so don't worry! You're a good friend reading what you have already. I'm glad you are still enjoying it. I hope to get the next part out on Monday or Tuesday. Enjoy your family this weekend! Big hugs, my friend. It is very well written. The only thing that I can say that I don't like is the dialect writing like Mark Twain used to do. Other than that I can tell you are a good writer. But, that is my taste and not your writing. Mark Twain was an excellent writer and so are you, from this sample I have read. Great job.

Hi Swampfox, thank you for dropping in to read this part, I'm very flattered that you put me in the same class as Mark Twain! :)) The dialect is necessary if you want to give it an authentic feel. My characters go back two hundred years in this book. Mildred is only Sixty-five but her accent is authentic. I don't think it changed much over the centuries. My son has moved there and the people who've lived there for generations talk like Mildred. I expect that was the case with Mark Twain. :)) Thank you for the lovely review, I'm delighted you liked it. :) Sandra xxx
