I am glad Butterfat inspired you to verse. I am a novice poet for sure, but I think that Butterfat the fat has great potential with children.

The title of this one really captured my attention. I think there should be a monthly contest for best title of the month. This would definitely get some votes. Fun poem and got me to giggle out loud. Very nice work with this fun and delightful poem.

Lol! Very cute one, Debbie! I was wondering why I wasn't getting notifications of your posts but I guess you have been posting for contests and I don't get notified of those. Great rhyming in this one and it's always been a concern about cats getting into the baby's crib so it's a relief that all the adults were on high alert.

Thank you for looking for my posts. I tend to enter the daily prompts because the competition is less when you win play money. I enjoy writing the short pieces as well. I should have gone into advertising. I am working on some poems that I hope to enter later, when they are worthy of the competition. I am slow.

No worries about the timing. Now that I know that's your style, I will check your profile now and then if I don't get any notices about your posts. Everyone has their style and pace.

A very well-written poem. Yes, cats curiosity can get them in weird and awkward situations where they could meet their end. Babies can make the best stinking bombs. Lol

This poem, Butterfat the Cat, is hilarious as I can imagine the poor kitty flopping around after getting a whiff of a baby explosion. Kitty litter box might become a refuge. Funny.

This is really cute. I wouldn't have touched that diaper if I were that cat for anything in the world. You did an excellent job in describing all of the activities surrounding that pesky cat. I like this. Well done.

Thank you, Jeffrey. I would not touch a hyper cat. Been there.

This is cute and it tells such a funny story... kitties are so undeniably curious and this one is no exception. The baby in the picture seems unperturbed thank goodness. Nicely written and displayed and you get my vote.

LOL, That was hilarious! I can just imagine the smell. Poor little thing. (that could refer to either the cat or baby!)
Excellent contest entry. Well done and good luck! Sandra xx

Oh, your poetry gave me a good look into the child's nursery! Poor Butterfat!
Good writing and cadence and the poem flows very well. I wish you good luck in the contest. And by the way... the picture is a perfect fit.
