A play about people in a play. That is something else. I must say. IT is somewhat interesting but I just can't see a play about people in a play. But that is me and doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I would have liked to have seen an intro to this and perhaps some explanation, it would have helped to understand it. Good luck with your work.

It's been a long time since I read "Taming of the Shrew," but I get the gist of it. I think Ned's seen too much of "The Exorcist" too! Another gem. :)
Sorry I haven't been on line much lately-crazy work schedule right now.

Nice ending. Lol. He really needs a prefix. I used to work for AT&T. So, I know. Just joshing with you. This was entertaining to read. What kind of accent is it that Ned is spearmint in? I will await the next chapter. Thank you fir sharing

    Thanks, Pam. Ned is supposed to be mid-southeastern transplanted to mid-Western. Pons would be the baseline dialect. Ned has gotten dumber and his accent has deepened over the last couple years. I may need to revise him ?up? so he?s better understood.

ahahaahaha You make this look easy, but to write dialect like this would be extremely difficult for me. I was pretty impressed with it, and your sense of humor is grand.

And the ending didn't disappoint, the final laugh. Thanks for sharing it, it's a work I'd recommend. Ana.

Hahahahaahaha.... why don't your scripts show up in my inbox? I just happened upon this. I get your poetry (which I am not qualified to judge). Weird.

I'm going back to read the other parts. This, though, is hilarious. I hope it is meant to be.

I like the spin that Ned has on things. He sees what he sees and knows what he knows. Unfortunately, he doesn't know much.
"I thunk Shikspeer spoke Anglish"
I find Ned's assessment of Shakespeare writing hilarious.
Pons and Ned put a smile on my face. Great job.

This is another cute script with Pons and Ned. This had me giggling a little as I was reading it. You used really cute dialogue in it. Great job! Blessings, Teri

Hi, Bill;
I really got a kick out of this. The Taming of the Shrew is one of my all-time favorites of the Shakespearean plays. I've seen in several different theatres and more versions than I thought possible.

Hearing/seeing this through your character's eyes was a delight. Well done. I only wish I had a six for this clever script.

Ned has quickly become my favorite character. He is so stupid that he is starting to make perfect sense. So what dies that say about me? His view of the world is not dimmed by the logic that can sometimes cause confusion, he knows what he knows, whatever that is and he just goes with it. Don't even bother trying to correct him, you will just further confuse matters. Just let him go, he'll be fine.

Please do describe the scene. I'm afraid I need a little help. Once more, the conversation is a hoot. These characters are classic. And incidentally, I can relate to Ned's difficulty with hearing only mine isn't limited to silent films. I think it's a problem with the quality of the audio - ha! Marge
