Beautiful. I was introduced to this style by a former site member Brooke Baldwin, I tried my hand at it and was successful to a degree. However, I went back to my comfort zone of just mainly writing rhyming quatrains. This poem is very good and the thoughts you pose are intriguing. Maybe instead of us looking skywards with our eyes, maybe we should look skywards with our hearts.

    Hello Friend,
Thank you for your excellent rating and thoughtful review.
You are not the first individual who shared to look skywards "with our hearts." Wonderful thought...
    Thank you again!

This is a deep philosophical pantoum. I like the reflection of how much we can study and know but still lack soul. One would think with all our progress technologically, we would have also grown morally, but our human failings continue. I like the repetition of the first line at then changes from thoughts of space travel to perhaps seeking God for answers.

Oh my, what a complicated and difficult sounding rhyme scheme to make. Indeed, you are such a poetical genius to pull the complex poetical makeup off. Your verses are well thought out and are dramatic in speaking of the chaos and conflicts going on in the world. NICE. Good luck. liberty justice

Tingling viewpoints targeting man abilities, perceived wrong or right of their conception, with pondering to the forth coming future. A thought-provoking read with many deposited delights. In my opinion of this write.

Mrs. KT, your writing is so easy to read. It not only has subject matter but it flows off
of your lips like an old rhyme. I think because you were a teacher, you really make sure what you write, is DEEP, and IMPORTANT, not silly or flimsy. Good job. The kurlman

Very nice pantoum Diane. You've handled this difficult rhyme scheme amazingly well and your poem flows nicely and makes much sense. There are some very memorable lines in this... such as, "Educated, advanced, but possessing no soul..." and also,
"Yet fears and insecurities we are always sowing," This is definitely a poem to make one stop and think. I enjoyed reading it more than once. Thanks for sharing. MM

Pantoum's are difficult to write with a smooth flow but you managed quite well. Very creative with a strong message for mankind - when will the madness end?
Rhyme scheme was flawless!
Great job.

In my opinion, a smoothly flowing poem, with a clear message of a lesson in futility, if circumstances remain the same - profound in approach and presentation - while I can appreciate the effort in writing this form, it is a bit too contrived for me...

    Hello Eve!
So pleased you enjoyed my pantoum.
I find it a bit contrived as well, but I so appreciate the challenge of attempting new forms... (This one is a bugger!)

Alrighty then. Despite the inevitable migraine I have when I finish one, the Pantoum is hands down my favorite form to write.... That is not to say I have perfected it, or do not have to write the schematic on a legal pad before embarking on a poetic journey...but I so love the intertwining French braid of words and phrases that I am always enraptured in reading the form or writing it! Just awesome!

    Hello Karenina!
You really love a pantoum? You are the very first reviewer to share that with me! Most find it too challenging or contrived. I just love the challenge it presents! (But my favorite forms are tetractys, cleave, or sestina... and free verse!)
Thank you for your excellent rating and thoughtful review!
