LOL!! Linda, what shall I do with you!! No, I can't send Joe over to you,, he has Rosie to look after!! LOL. Right, I can solve one of your problems, send the chocolate to me!! I'll look after it, lol! Thank you my sweet, crazy, lovely friend, for another review that had me rolling on the floor! Love you too, my dear friend. :) xxxxx Sandra xx

Ian was doing really well, he is going to get an mobility bike, a bit like a three wheeler car without the roof, but he went to the hospital on Wednesday to had the wound redressed and found he has an infection in it. So, another round of antibiotics and fingers crossed. He has to go to another hospital for 6 weeks, and he's not a happy Easter bunny. I told him that it was good that they spotted the infection early, they will be able to deal with it faster. I really pray they will clear it quickly.

How are you? And how is your mom? I think of you all often. Give her a hug from me, and ask her if she'll give you one back from me! Over the miles. :)) I hope when we pass over to the other side, St Peter will put our mansions side by side! lol. :)) xxxxx

I am ok...if it would get warmer I could get more done...mom is ok...she is still having a hard time...but it is one day at a time...it would be hard to hug her...she is in Florida...but I will tell her...
and when we pass away...I will meet you at the gate...arms open...I'll be the one running around like a crazy lady...excided...smiling sooooo big at you...love xxoo

Another great part chapter there Sandra. Cleverly thought out about the sunglasses. I never knew that they wore sunglasses in ancient times. I know they used reading glasses back in Henry VIII's time and before, so when you think about it, it does seem logical. We learn something new every day.

Enjoyed the read and found it up to your high standard.

What a lovely review, Mel, thank you so much! I was really surprised when I started researching. But, when you think of it, the Egyptians, the Romans, and the Chinese were way ahead of their time when it came to buildings and health cures, etc. (and slavery, brutality...) so it follows they would come up with something to protect their eyes from the sun's rays. It's fun researching for this book. Thanks again, my friend. Sandra xxx

The picture is really good for this piece.

Wonderful chapter. The flow of the story was perfect. I liked the change in scenery and really enjoy Mildred. She's a hoot. I'd get along with her right well. :-) lol

I like that you put in some interaction of daily life with the children too.

Excited to see what will happen... :-D

Your style of writing is compelling! Even wading in midstream my curiosity is piqued and this is on my list to read in full. Your skill at fleshing out characters is uncanny.

And off you go again. Well, imagine that-sunglasses so long ago. A simple solution, but who knew? Well, sounds like the plan is in motion so will be waiting to see how it goes.

One of the delights in reading your book is the 'normal' parts you include to remind us, not only that veronica has a loving husband and family, but a great mate like Mildred as well.
Long may it continue!

-I like this beginning with
the committee, Sandra,
especially when they mention
James's notebook.
-Ver. and Mildred have a
good conversation except
Ver. is frustrated about not
knowing when she will go back.
-When the children come home, things
lighten up and Ann shows her
cute portrait of Mildred.
-At the end James has some very
good news about the glasses, and
they sound like a great thing for Francis.
-They just have to be able to
get them back in time somehow,
and be able to get Francis, and more.
-You give us a glimpse of poor
Joe, alone and huddled in the attic.
-Let's hope all the planning begins
to work out, but I don't think it will be easy.

Thank you so much, my special friend, for another lovely review. I'm pleased you liked the beginning, Pam, they play a part now and again. It's not going to be easy, but Veronica will give it her best shot. She has a lot of persuading to do, and then, if she succeeds, Joe will have to do the same with Rosie. That will be fun! Thank you for all the stars, Pam, they always brighten my day. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

The sun is out! I can't believe it! :)) xx

You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Sandra. There is a lot of planning for Ver. and you never know what twists will get in her way! I am glad you have sun; we are due for our 4th snow, what they call nor'easters here. But here is a🙂 for friendship and looking forward to spring!

Hello Sandra,
A most pleasant interlude in the present for the reader,
though Veronica is pulled by concerns in the past.
Who's the crazy looking dude in the picture.
Surely, the people in the future don't dress like old monks.
Fashion will never be the same.
The plan is well conceived, now to see how Joe and others react.
If they don't like the plan, my great, great grandfather, Robert P Spice,
lived in England at this time. He designed and built gas works.
I'm sure he would welcome Frances into the family.
(a back up plan, just in case) lol
I enjoyed the little interlude with Mildred and the children.
Back to 1846, the year my great grandfather was born.
Just one coincidence after another.
Another chapter well done, my friend.
Robert

How strange! It's possible your great grandfather could have known Joe, and possible met up with Veronica! I'll have to ask them!!! So you originally came from England, do you still have family here? Your great grandfather might have designed the gas works down near Southampton, about five miles from where I live. (he wasn't an albino, by any chance????)

That crazy looking dude (lol) is older than time! I couldn't find a picture to go with this part, so I thought we'd have Jowell instead and this was the only picture I could find that made him look different to anyone else. :)) Thank you so much for another lovely review, my friend, and all the wonderful stars!!! Big hugs. Sandra xxx

Hi Sandra, another well written chapter to the story. A nice addition with the sunglasses. Great job with the dialect. I enjoyed reading the chapter.
