Your well written and well rhymed verse tells of facts that I did know either.
Woman's Day is news to me. We seem to need to celebrate everything these days. But, that makes nothing special.

British poet William Goldberg said, "I think women are foolish to pretend they are equal to men. They are far superior and always have been. Give a woman sperm, she will give you a baby, give her a house, she will make give you a home, give her food she makes you a meal, give her a smile she gives you her heart, She can enlarge on whatever is given her. So if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of it back."

Don't feel bad, I never heard of it either. Of course, in the USA, we have all kinds of 'national' days. Yesterday was national pie day -- so I never keep up with the days. Just Mother's Day, Father's Day, and the holidays -- Halloween, Thanksgiving (in the USA), Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day, and so on. Do you guys have a Thanksgiving?

Hi Ine. Wonderful poem you wrote. Woman's day is a good reminder that man and women are equal... In the Mid-East women were not allowed to drive a car and were not allowed to vote. It has changed now...Indeed, coming out of the shade.....Wel done!!! Fia x

I heard about it 20 years ago. Found out it was new about 5 years ago. International acceptance of women. I didn't know we were unacceptable. However, I'm glad we women matter as much as men around the globe. Nice poem.
