Yep writer, I can certainly relate to this poem. My brothers had b guns and they let me shoot at the birds all the me. Your certainly struck some fund memories of many days out in the woods running around and having no fear. Picture strikes a memory as well. Good job!

Hello!
Fitting indeed, to the prompt and a wonderful haiku...with an excellent satori. We had to replace our windows when we first built our home because the neighbor boy was practicing his skills on a blackbirds...His parents denied their son was capable of such behavior! Enough said...Sign of our times on a number of levels...Well-executed!
