This was a novel approach to the prompt and most enjoyable to read. It was fun to visualize you wobbling on that ice rink and accepting the dare. I confess, however,I will never be a fan of AABB rhyming.

isn't it amazing that not so many years ago, Sisters, Nuns... could control and give a sense of safety with just a ruler. Now they're talking about arming teachers with guns. How things have changed. Concerning the young lady who dared to give a boy a kiss, I don't think she needed to go to confession. I think she was very brave and independent. I applaud her as I do your pome. Best wishes.

What is a kiss? Is it not shared by two people? That's where love begins, but it is also two lips coming together spreading germs. And think when people use tongue? Yet, you say there is more? I wait with lips pressed tight (so not to spread germs) and await your next post. Very good entry for the Kiss contest.

This is cute! It tells a story. I wonder how many girls/women have experienced. I had other things happen, but my first kiss was awkward but exciting. No french kiss, but it was my first wet kiss. He moved away. Thank you for evoking memories of a carefree pleasant time. I was ten. He was twelve. This would also have been a good entry fir the Tell a Story contest. That was a wonderful narrative story in a poem. The excitement of a first kiss can turn anyone over-the-top insane... And to bust yourself for sinning, but you had to talk to somebody. Better the clergy than the dinner table. It sounds like it was worth the trouble. Nice memory.
