A very well-written poem about the Housewife's career. It is a job that seems to never ends and there is always something a housewife needs to do to feed and look after their family.

Being a homemaker was my career. When my husband and I married we went to the bank and opened a joint checking account. When I started to say I was a housewife, he stopped me and said, "you are a homemaker not a housewife, you are married to me and not the house." That changed my thinking all my life. Patricia

Thank you, Dolly for your nice review and rating. Due to my disabilities, my husband is our housewife. I was always the breadwinner and saved all of the money for our retirement and bought our house. I still make four times as much as he does so I get the lion?s share of the bills. He is a very good caretaker and is very good to me
