This was terrific, very interesting free verse poem about a mermaid? Or maybe some other ethereal creature that mere humans can only dream about. Great image you included with your words, I think this will do well in the contest. Thanks for sharing.

I enjoyed this poem, very much. Being a fantasy writer, I liked the way you portrayed the main character of this tale. Unfortunately, I've missed the vote on this contest.
Take care,
Russell

I seem to be picking up that you are speaking of Mother Earth or someone of her nature? Certainly not that of a human being. You wrote it very descriptive and colorful, and caught my attention throughout. Excellent poem. Tony

In my opinion, a captivating poem in smooth and easy free verse - imaginative and articulate in delivery and complementary image. The fantasy component is arresting in the narration...

Hello amada
I will tell you, you know how to write a fantasy free poem to take my mind off reality by picturing myself clothed in moss green human wear
My emerald tail morphed into twin flesh poles
felling like a mermaid
The very best to you in this contest

This is a fantastic free verse Amada. Every word you've selected perfectly draws the image into our minds even if only ephemerally.
Wonderful indeed and many thanks for sharing.

Welcome back--I hope all is well. I enjoyed your free verse and the alluring picture that inspired you and drew us into your poem. I admired the ephemeral mood you created with the various interpretations of the image of a mermaid, especially the "waking up at the kiss of the tides". May the dream continue! Best wishes in the contest- Joan

So very intriguing and yet so true. This is my interpretation of your entry; I've never seen the need to speak or even touch a pretty woman. I am more than satisfied just to be able to see her and enjoy the moment. I believe this philosophy is enough and will keep me safe from spells and what not. Best wishes.
