This is an excellent 5-7-5. The forces of nature can alter our lives and terrain dramatically. The image is perfect for your poem. Great job. Marilyn

I'm left confused, since the last line is left unfinished and with mistakes? I'm not really sure what's up with the last line, but it's a shame, since it started out interesting, but then the last line leaves you confused and disappointed.

Hi samantha0930 Thank you for your review . I am also confused at your querie re the last line as the meaning of Fait accompli is : 'an action which is completed before those affected by it are in no position to reverse or query it'. Therefore in this case the uprooted trees will start to die straight away once their roots are exposed leading to death of the tree. I hope clariies my thoughts in this scenario . Cheers

I'm guessing that's Latin then? I was super confused because it looked like it was supposed to say "fate accomplished" but with a misspelling and an unfinished word. It would help if you said what it meant in your notes, because I would have no idea without you explaining it.

Hi thanks for your suggestion to include it in authors notes I will do this and apologise for assuming everyone knows this term, it is a French Phrase widely used in English language
    cheers Christine

I love the art with the haiku you wrote! The exposed tree roots evoke a sad feeling for me. I love nature and this destruction of trees by nature reminds me of just how powerful winds can be. Good luck with the contest!

Now that is a good 5-7-5 entry for death in nature. I really like the words "life forces exposed." So absolutely perfect for that photo. The entire 17 syllables shows creativity and thoughtful word choice. Excellent job. Good luck.

Hi Alcreator Litt Dear, Thanks for reading my poem for this contest. Nature can be cruel at times and many a tree has falllen in stormy weather. Something a bit different to write about Cheers Christine

This is a great entry for the contest and we have high winds here causing chaos and destroying our beautiful palms. Your poem says so much in so few words, love Dolly x

Hi Dolly.. Yes the winds can get very rough and leave havoc and destruction in their path and the trees once uprooted die. Thanks for your review have a calm day LOL Cheers Christine

Good job on your haiku, it fits the five seven five requirements well. I also liked your use of the words fairly accompli. Good luck to you in the contest.

I think this is a good entry for the 5-7-5 Death in Nature writing prompt.
Your sad tale is too true and well told in your few well chosen words.
Good luck to you with this one in the competition.
Sharon
