This is so sad but I also know you by now and understand what you have to work on for yourself, for your soul and peace of mind, Doc.

Although I'm a prose person and pretty poor in writing poetry,
I love reading poems like this, poems that have some meaning
for me and give me something to take away with me. So it's not
a wonder that I would read an excellent poem like yours.

I think it would be extremely difficult to reconnect with life especially after dwelling for the past 15 years or so in the past where pain is your best friend. A thought provoking write Ricky. Good luck. xoxo Kiwi
