Ah, this is where your comment on Musak and redhead vacummers came from. I'd wondered because it wasn't something read in the mountweazle poem.

my thinking's all muddled and foggy{".}
(typo, pulling forward for consistency with rest of poem... and foggy(.)(")[.]

"You ain't getting sex, while you're wearing Spandex,(.)"
my response was both quick and on track.

(dialogue tag here feels off--like it's more of a post observation than a dialogue tag. That's why I'm suggesting the period.)

This was cute. Really liked the inner rhymes and the pop-fly feel, high on the amusement, and playful. It has the essence of an old-school song I enjoy.

Ha! What an idiot I am! I'm so sorry, Turtle. I swear, even one poem a day is too much for me to keep track of. I was mixing up the two in my head, obviously, when I responded to your comment. It probably doesn't help that I've forgotten what I wrote yesterday by the time I wake up to respond to reviews. That really must have left you scratching your head lol

Thanks for the catches with this one too. Did you like the reference to the hibiscus flower? (just kidding!)

    Always appreciated. Many thanks, Turtle.

Wow this was witty, and I bet very fun to write. Had the little people not worn out my brain cells for the day, I would be tempted to write a witty review with proper product placement references. This was very entertaining, friend.

Yes, it was fun to write, if only for the image that flitted through my head of someone doing the vacuuming in spandex pants, while listening to muzak. For some reason, she has an orange perm.

Thanks for the great review :)

LOL! I love this one. So true. We tend to name a thing after the first thing of that type. Never knew there was actually a name for it--anepronym. Great job with this and it DID bring a smile. Marilyn

This is very cute what you have penned. It seems like a funny limerick to me. You used very cute and great descriptive words. I love the way you typed it. Maybe I will be that innovative one day! Great job. Blessings, Teri

I only did that to make the target words stand out, Teri. Since we're from all over the place on this site of ours, some people might not recognise some of the names. Thanks for the lovely review! Craig

Well dang it all, where was the word anepronym when I needed it a long time ago. Ain't it just like that Joni Mitchell song, you don't know what you got till you're gone, or something like that. Ahem. Excellent post, Craig and I am familiar with all those trademarks but am deeply disappointed you didn't work in Google somewhere. ;-)

Super job as per your always.

Dammit, I knew that Land Rover should have been a Big Yellow Taxi!

"I forgot to use Google, my horn's not a flugel"
    he lamented in quite fractured rhyme;
So he wolfed down a crumpet, then reached for his trumpet,
and played Taps for the very last time.

Many thanks for the lovely review, Gloria :)

You make it crystal clear what this word of the day means. I enjoyed your lilting lines that sing along and rhyme so well. I have never heard of a Biro, but am guessing it's a car?

Hi Joy, Wow! How did you get through school without a biro? lol No, not cars, biros are pens, made by Bic. Although to most, any cheap plastic tube filled with ink, having a clip on lid is a biro. Maybe you call them ball-point pens? Cheers, Craig :)

How amusing entertaining way you use satire making fun of various products. Seems you dont think products live up to their advertisements. Nice. Liberty justice

Thanks very much for the kind words. I don't really have anything against those products - well, ok, maybe Spandex :) Cheers, Craig

that was a fun read
but I must concede
that I Googled anepronyms
'Cause I do admit
I'd never heard it--
Thought you made it up on a whim.
Began to complain
But then you explained
You found it in your birthday book,
Which sounds like a winner
And I'll bet a tenner
I can find a copy if I really look.

Your pome was delightful. Am a silliness fan, myself.

Thanks Katharine, for the kind words and the extra cool verse. Save the tenner, you can buy the book for around that I think on Amazon. Cheers, Craig :)

Kind of silly, but cool!... I like the way you incorporated
those words into a neat little rhyme, that actually made sense!
Didn't see any problems with it...
My compliments!

A very well-written poem using anepronyms to tell a story of a breakup and how it was affecting the future life of both partners involved in this breakup ending in Cairo with your Land Rover.

Thanks very much, Sandra. I think I must have taken a wrong turn at Jakarta. Much appreciated - Craig
