A good entry here. revenge and bloody I'm guessing. The origins of La Tigre laid bare. Good point of view taken and maintained throughout.

This is well written, grabbing the reader's attention from the start. Laced with violence and crimes, this story walks with a victim who then victimizes. The prey becoming the hunter. I like that the story is within a story of the crime family. Whenever it turns personal, someone dies.

(reviewed in the blind) I remember La Tigre from a previous competition. I'm glad you found a new contest for her to shine. The story is compelling. You do a very good job of providing backstory. And there was no doubt, the rapist got what he deserved. I also think the 800 word limit in the contest held you back a little or at least made you rush the ending. Either way, a well-written, mistake-free shift in the life of my favorite female assassin. Good luck. You might have to create a contest for her story to continue.

This is an excellent, and may be a key, scene in this book. I believe Amos was not angry enough, because the rapist was not showing respect. Even, knowing this was the end, the rapist would have a glimpse, some hope, of not dying. Grabbing the throat should have been kicking his balls and asking, "Where's the respect you bastard"? Strapped in a gurney naked, is not as demeaning as lying on a bare floor naked.

This is the first time I appreciated a murderous act of vengeance story plot. My heart really bleeds for abused women, for rape victims, for sodomized girls and boys and these victims deserve justice. La Tigre got hers. what an excellent post. Thanks for sharing.
