Nice job. "Under the Influence" is what I am trying to fight so that I can just forget the pain for awhile. "Poured from the soul" is a great line. For a rookie poet, Astyanax, you made this reader feel it to her soul.

I love the title of your poem and the drunken conceit that you utilize throughout. And I particularly love your last line. Never to be sober again. This should have been a valentine entry. Fine job.

Falling in love and calling it a drunken state and never being sober again is a wonderful state to be in. The gremlins crept in on the last line of the first stanza which is easily fixed in the edit mode, I found myself feeling drunk after reading, love Dolly x
