I like the sheltering feel of this poem and wonder if I hear the faith echoing
in the mind as I am reading it. As such it does a greater service to the reader
perhaps than even the writer

Good job with beautiful sentiments. I love the imagery of God's blood. My favorite line is "as a parent sees a child, I know I'll never be reviled". Absolutely beautiful. I hope you find the strength and love that you need in this time.

I found this very encouraging, Roy. Thank you! And it follows that if we feel certain of God's love for us (rooted and grounded in love as it says in Ephesians) we will be able to overcome our difficulties from others. I found one line a little confusing:
"and through that hatred stem its flow." (through that love sounds like it would fit the previous line better.)
