Wish I could give you ten stars for this, but only have five. You couldn't have said it better. He does love us unconditionally even with all our flaws. Others may point their fingers and judge us, but He excepts us just the way we are. He sees who we really are inside more than we know ourselves.
We are all different and unique in our own ways. That's the way we are supposed to be designed.
Thanks for sharing. Something lovely to read this morning. :)
Always your fan,
Shana :)

I'm sorry to hear you've been going through some personally trying times of late, Roy.
Life can be difficult at times.
But thank heavens you have God on your side, as this wonderfully well written poem conveys.
Thanks God we ALL do!

The rhythms, tone and flow are good. The message appears clear. Each stanza tells a little of the story bit by bit. We could all use the lesson in our everyday lives to stand strong by our individual confections and not be swayed by others need to be more, have more and see more when we have all we need before us. Nice read, an uplifting reminder!

"I'll not be moved by what pride flaunts", is my favourite line here Roy, being true to ourselves is the biggest challenge and you truly are one of life's surviviors, a great write from the heart, love Dolly x

Hi Roy,
I hope life has now taken on a calmer perspective.
It is so special to read a poem where the spirituality oozing from every thoughtful word is truly meant.
Life can be stressful and the path ahead tough but it is true that the Lord will walk with you and ease your burdens.
:-) Shirley

A very well-written heartfelt and inspiring poem. Sometimes life and the people in this world try their best to ruin our lives and make us miserable. We can find refuge in God, he doesn't judge like people do and we can feel safe with Him.

Good morning, Roy

Enjoyed the poem and a virtual six. I found the first stanza and particularly the third line interesting:

God sees me naked and exposed,
without a mask as my abode.
And yet He loves me as I am,
His dearest child, His special lamb.

One understands how this would apply in general towards those trying to live a decent life, but would this also apply to individuals such as Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Mao, etc. I was taught if one is truly remorseful of their sins before God before they die, they're absolved of their sins and heaven awaits.

Take care and stay safe,

Ray

Roy, your note is troubling. Whatever is putting stress into your life, best wishes for your resolution of it. An excellent poem, as always. "Where could I go but to the Lord." the old spiritual says...

Hi Roy,
I am sorry to hear that you have been having a bad few days, I hope that all will be well with you soon. This poem informs us that if we have faith then we can face our bad times knowing he is with us and will see us through them. Your poems always have a clear message and the notes are informative.
