Really? I thought frogs and toads were distinctly different. Thanks for that. And thanks for the enjoyable poem about the toad who didn't succeed with his woo-ing.
Not sure why there is so many blank lines before your picture with the poem.

I don't know why that happened. I tried to get some help, but nothing worked. Thanks for reviewing.

Got plenty of both. Toads don't seem to ever have to go to water, bullfrogs seldom come on land, and tree frogs live noisy mysterious lives in the bogs, climbing trees.
They are a sign of spring, those cheepers. I have my ear tuned...excellent octogram, I'd say.

Thank you. Sadly, I don't have any frogs in my pond now. The feral cats, I guess, took care of that.

Nice fun write, even if the frog didn't get his princess. Great images of a romance that didn't quite work out. It reminds me of poor Kermit and Miss Piggy.
Thanks for the smile
hugs

This is a very cute and sweet poem about the frog in your pond. You used very cute and good descriptive words about the romance that was not to be for the poor little frog! Great imagery. Blessings, teri

Hi, Yvonne;
I haven't figured out how to make pictures smaller either.
Your poem was lovely. Poor toad - I guess he just wasn't her type, no matter how lovely he sang. Thank you for sharing your Octogram,

I didn't spot this before but in your second stanza. You have not followed the alternate pattern in your second and third lines instead your scheme is running abddeebb. I wonder if anyone else notices! I am sorry because It is my fault for saying it was OK.

No one else noticed. It isn't your fault. I wrote it. I should have seen that. Thank you for reviewing and pointing that out.

A very well-written Octogram about the romance on the pond that did not work as well as it was planned when the lady frog decided he is not the Prince of her dreams.

Poor froggy, but lady frogs know what they like and what they don't. He may find a deaf lady frog who cannot hear his awful voice and love him for his fly-catching ability. Cute poem. Ribbet! :)
