I'm assuming an awful lot here, but let me stick my neck out. 'The Bell Curve' was a book put out in 1994 by a couple of gents trying to categorize the human race. Their system measured intelligence by inherited and environmental factors.
I read this literary work with this tid bit of information in mind.

This work is a lamentation. An internal mourning petitioning an external force to assist in the return of words providing adhesion to life.
"I've lost the words of which I play, the splintered fragments of my soul."

"To bind the bits of broken life, as blindness overcomes one's sight, will lead to suicidal strife, beleaguered benedictions blight."
This is a petition to ones self, not unlike, "To be or not to be."

"Procure no promise past its due......."
A realization the forces of heaven act in their own time.

"The blackest holes are here on earth........where darkness dictates whimsy's worth, while man is judged from sin to sin."
This is a unique descriptive expressing contempt for societies ineptitude in formulating judgements based on degrees of sinfulness.

"At midnight tears through fears are shed, the bed sweat soaked from sheet to core from nightmare visions I have fled, despairs foul dreams from distant shore."
The 'Bell Curve' has no category for real life trials.

"Alone outside, upon the lawn, my gaze ablaze in great expanse,I am the petrified white pawn, I dance the puppet-masters dance."
We freely form our attitude as product of prodigious years."
Depressions depth is drowning me, words fail to free my mind from pain, I search to find simplicity......."

A poignant vision into the past.

"Some say we play within our head, just deem the darkness to be light........."
"To those of such nobility......"
"I say to you beware my friend......"
I hope and pray you all remain, within the borders of the "Bell."

This writing is intrinsically composed to integrate instance and emotional placement
in life. The object being the demonstration of both an emotional inward stance and outward observations from an individual perspective. To its credit it discredits the outlandish idea that human capacity is limited to a curve on a 'bell.' For myself and all the others whom have lived on the island of despair........ hats off to this writers unique approach to converting his soul to words.

Just a fantastic review my friend. I wasn't sure many people would be familiar with the 'bell curve' but the fact you were not only familiar with that study but understood all ramifications from it and converted your knowledge into this tremendous review is very satisfying to me. I thank you very, very much. Take care good friend. tom

This poem is awesome my friend. Wonderful alliteration and perfect meter. Depression is a formidable foe. The dark thoughts overtake any attempt to recover the light. I am so happy I have a six. This is the best poem I have read all year. LOL Well done. Nancy

This reminds me of a Sylvia Plath's early book, The Bell Jar, a famous take on just this theme although naturally not rhymed. Please don't be offended if yu don't care for her writing.

Thank you frierajac. You could not have given me a better compliment. I love Sylvia Plath. She does have some wondrous rhyming poetics also. Thanks again my friend. tom

This speaks well to the darkness that we can sink into. I understand this situation as some may not. Maybe this can speak to those who have fortunately not had to deal with such thoughts, that they might understand a little better, Nice work.

Hope you're feelinf better now. I'm sending you abundant light-energy!

This is awesome...so your muse has not left you without words to play with!

The phonetics are fantastic! Especially the alliteration of B here:

To bind the bits of broken life
as blindness overcomes one's sight
will lead to suicidal strife -
beleaguered benediction's blight!

And alliteration of P and D here:

Procure no promise past its due;
deny deceit in life and death,
then bid your days a fond adieu
when you draw down your final breath.

A few spag suggestions:

My mind has run aground today;(no ;)
as blackness folds around my soul.

The blackest holes are here on e(E)arth

At midnight(,) tears through fears are shed -
the bed, sweat soaked, from sheet to core.

To those of such nobility,
who(,) in their lives(,) have never faced

of all great things you think you know(,)
for you may break one day(,) not bend(,)

Awesome:
where darkness dictates whimsy's worth
while man is judged from sin to sin.

Awesome (tone, meaning, phonetics read aloud):

Alone outside, upon the lawn,
my gaze ablaze in great expanse -
I am the petrified white pawn,
I dance the puppet-master's dance.

Articulate eloquence and great rhymes:

We freely form our attitude
as product of prodigious years;
then comes the lock of lassitude
to mitigate those mental gears.

OUTSTANDING SHIFT IN FOCUS HERE and so well voiced (true too):

To those of such nobility,
who in their lives have never faced
the loss of their own dignity
from shame that leaves a soul disgraced,

I say to you beware, my friend,
of all great things you think you know
for you may break one day not bend
and watch the dark consume your glow.

Pitch perfect closing note:

I hope and pray you all remain
within the borders of the "bell"
but learn to understand the pain
of fellow traveler's tortured hell.

Glad I have a six (in spite of nits).

Bravo

Depression is a monster that eats peace. Only those who have gone through it can truly understand how fierce its grip is.

Love and Light,
sis

OMG I feel the frustrations and sorrow in your verses filled with luscious alliterations that add musical tones to your cries. Seems writer is disgusted but still holding on to some type of mercy that might cause him to overcome his torn struggles. WELL Written liberty justice
