Exceptional

Tony, I smiled through this whole poem (although I did feel sad a bit with the world apart section). Such wonderful imagery of the two and three of you having such joy together. She is absolutely stunning! Those eyes! I hope the time speeds by until you see her again. I totally loved and enjoyed this entertaining poem.
Smiles,
Karyn :-)

Thanks so much for this review, Karyn, and for the six stars. It was lovely seeing Teagan over Christmas but we do miss the little mite now that she's back in New York!

I recognized some of the butterfly names but not heard of the Fritillaries or the Chalk Hill Blues before. We had a Birdwing butterfly in our garden vine laying eggs yesterday, always a delight to see these beautiful creatures and I absolutely love your beautiful butterfly write. Gorgeous photo too. Really enjoyed this one Tony,'
cheers,
valda

Very many thanks for your review, Valda. A bit of an international mixture of butterflies in this one. I think that the Fritillaries and the Chalk Hill Blues are both English varieties mainly. All the best, Tony

Awwww! What a wonderful thing that you and Teagan share that magic of imagined butterflies that come at your command. It's so great that you can pour into her life and share these beautiful memories!

This is a very beautiful and well-written poem! It has a nice flow to the words, and I love that you added so many different types of butterflies into it.
I love the metaphors you used as well.
Great work :)

Hi Tony,
What a delightful and truly special poem to share.
There is always that special bond the grandparents and grandchildren share but this one seems extra special.
The poem is filled with life, colour, surprise and wonder and truly a pleasure to read.
:-) Shirley

    Thanks Tony.
I know what you mean. I'm about to have the joy of a whole day with four grandchildren under the age of five...it's raining.

What a wonderful poem for and about Teagan.
She is inspiration, itself,
with those transfixing, magical blue eyes.
I notice she's wearing the same outfit in your profile picture, too.
This poem brings joy in large bunches.
Beautiful
RS

-Nice photo and presentation.
-A lovely poem about Teagan
and how special the butterflies are.
-She would like the idea of the
butterflies flying off her dress;
"Grandma giving chase!" and
Grandpa finding "his hidden store."
-The last two stanzas emphasize
the link between her and her
grandparents very nicely, Tony.
-Thanks for sharing.

Yes, it was wonderful seeing her over Christmas! Such a pity that she is so far away most of the time. Perhaps that is what makes the times when we are together so special!

The distance has to be difficult, but it is nice when they spend the time with you. I didn't live close to my grandparents, either, and saw them once a year, only it wasn't as far.

I take this as a metaphor although it works out literally. Butterflies can by the big and little surprises in life. A lot of B alliteration. F too with :She also freed Fritillaries/ to flit around my hat."
