The world is your oyster until reality slams it shut!

Youthful exuberance is wonderful and inspiring. Work so many years to achieve that paper and then you discover the value in how far it can really take you!

    I think its more about what having a degree gives you, rather then job security. It gave me a reason to be proud and instilled in me a confidence that is priceless.As Thanks for reading.

    forgive my cynical comments born of years of pressed servitude. I do recall the zeal of achievement. The doors it was supposed to open couldn't overcome the racism and prejudice of the times, though it did give me an advantage over others of color.

I remember when my daughter received her diploma in 2002 and NO jobs awaited. I do hope this year's graduates are more fortunate. I really commend your Speaker's optimism.
