How can anybody not give this a six? One of the great things about love poems on this site is that, because we tend to be an older lot, a lot of the love poems are less about the "frothy drinks and clinking glasses" and more about the more mature love that "withstands the face of doom", the love that "always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres".

The last stanza is touching in its sincerity, and even more, it speaks to the divine origin of the love that we feel - your wife will love it.

I don't know why, but this line brought vivid imagery to mind when I read it:

- "Now love is not some frothy drink"

I envision a lot of fun things in life that could be inspired by love.
