I will have to send your poem to my son in law. He starts work for Amazon in Seattle next Monday. Seriously, I enjoyed your poem. I enjoy the classical poems, but I like the contemporary ones better. I just did one about the Bud Light Dilly Dilly commercials. Amazon definitely deserves a poem. Good job.

Thanks so much, Debbie, for your review. Sounds like your son-in-law will have a good future if he has chosen to work for Amazon, given that it has such a monopoly.

Excellent poem, posing an interesting question. I believe the answer is a qualified 'yes.' Despite the diminishing brick and mortar shopping venues, some will survive for folks who prefer to eyeball, touch and feel the merch before deciding to purch.

Thanks so much, Don, for your review. Let's hope that many of the brick and mortar stores will remain open. I can't imagine ordering shoes or most of my clothing from Amazon.

You're welcome, Connie, but that's the unfortunate reality for too many brick and mortar stores in this widespread 'trend.'

Not only Amazon anything you want is just fingers away. Get into the internet and play, play, and pay. Everything is getting easier. Soon we will not leave the comfort of our bed as the robot that we ordered from (Amazon?) brings us breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We might get up to use the bathroom, but then again everything is a click away. Good story in your poem. I hope people understand.

It is already happening, stores are closing all over the world as Amazon improves their service and delivering with drones into our back yards, whatever next, a well rhythmed write about a retail business that has taken over the world, love Dolly x

This is a very well written poem about how shopping today is as opposed to how it used to be. We as humans tend to want the easy way out which is not always the best. This way of shopping seems to be headed that way. Very good descriptive words and the art work is perfect for this poem. Blessings Teri

Thank you so much, Teri, for your feedback. You are right that we often want the easy way out, even when we're shopping.
