Nice poem. Perfect graphic. And, you're right, it is the perfect definition of confidence! I'm curious, this was a surprising entry. What prompted you to write it, might I ask? Well done! Good luck in the contest!

Good 5-7-5, Anonymous Poet, very "witty" and clever.
Ya know, evidence from zoos suggests elephants get along just fine with mice. Elephants often eat hay.
Mice can often be found in and around the elephants' hay, and zookeepers have reported elephants usually don't pay any attention to them. In fact, some elephants don't even seem to mind mice crawling on their faces and trunks.

Elephant experts will tell you elephants have no logical reason to be afraid of mice. In fact they'll even tell you that healthy elephants don't fear any other animals because of their size and lack of natural predators.

So, despite the old urban legend that elephants are afraid of mice, it seems that elephants aren't all that concerned with the diminutive creatures after all.
Any reaction they have may have more to do with surprise than fear.

Best of luck to you in the contest.

What a great 5-7-5 poem, your words and artwork accompany each other so well, made me giggle, particularly the last line which completes this lovely poem brilliantly.

This does not look like Horton, at all. LOL - If you do not know, he is a Dr. Seuss Character. I think you did a fine job of connecting mouse and elephant for a fun animal poem. Good Luck and Best Wishes in the Contest! Sherman541

Your witty rat-to-elephant poem made me smile. It made me recall Aesop fables about small rats with big foes. Of course, these rodents show a lot of confidence. Your poem is amusing, and I love the rat's boastful dialogue.

Thank you for sharing. I wish you much success with your funny entry.
