Good luck in contest. I just gave you my vote that made you climb upward. Your poem is so strong and so true. Sometimes we can take our pain and use it to make us stronger or allow pain to take us down and make us weaker. VERY INSPIRATIONAL. liberty justice

This one-nine-one, Pain, uses the eleven syllables to identify the uses of pain in one's life lessons. According to Shakespeare, "Sweet are the uses of adversity."

An excellent 1-9-1 syllable count writing prompt entry that reminisces the ambivalent nature of pain.
The work highlights how pain could either predispose a strengthened or weakened individual.
The work constitutes a significant commentary on the fact that our destiny is a function of the CHOICES we make in life.
Excellent work ! Keep the flag flying!

This speaks a message for living; it is our choice to lead life being stronger or weaker as pain makes us weaker or stronger; well said, well done; thank you for sharing this with us; good luck with the contest. Keep writing. DR ALCREATOR

Yours is a great 1-9-1 poem.
I choose "stronger". Basically this is because of
a special time in my life when I was having my
son. I never experienced such pain in my whole
life. And there's never been a pain so full of
miraculous joy that made me forget the pain
altogether in no time at all.
Good luck with the contest.

Thank you so much.

This is a beautiful haiku! It conveys a very true message about pain. We can either become scared of the pain and grow weaker, or we can choose to overcome the pain and grow stronger. Great read!
