I wanted to give you a heads-up review. This is set up like a poem. Usually, a story is written in full sentences and in paragraphs, so I don't know whether or not this will pass screening by the committee that evaluates entries.

I'm not big on structure of writing. Seems there is a need to confine things within defined boxes, a most uncreative way to convey thoughts. But your feedback does point out reality - a very important player in a writing.

This is a tough one to review. it comes across much more like a free verse poem than a story which is what the contest calls for.
There's also no punctuation at all, not really a beginning, middle or end.
Obviously it's up to you how display your work but I think this needs a little bit of work as an actual story.
