Lol! I loved that Bill's mother checked to see if he were ill when he offered to do the dishes! Great suggestion about growing vegetables at home and about planning budgets and meals. And how touching to give an Alzheimer's resident something to do that she could feel proud of! Another great chapter!

Suggestions:
buildings laundry room in the basement (building's)
performing a job or service in exchanged (exchange)

Thank you so very much, Helene for reviewing and your great comments. The Alzheimer's bit was in reference to a dear older friend who was inflicted with this disease. I will fix those corrections in a minute. Hugs!

One question springs to mind. You are a stand in replacing the regular teacher. What you are giving these kids is excellent experience of life skills. What are you supposed to be teaching, or do you not have to work to a syllabus a syllabus?

That is none of my business really but the content of your story I find really interesting.

MMM first thanks for reading and reviewing. That was indeed an interesting comment/ question. Way back when, lol, the private schools came up with the idea of the type of programs they wanted to offer, applied for the licenses to do so, got them, then left it to the instructors /teachers to organize and teach. Regular schools, colleges, universities were controlled tighter by the board of education.

I'm following along reading chapter by chapter and I'm loving your story. What an encouraging narrative to teach helping people help themselves. Well done.

Another well written chapter. I've never actually washed anything red with the whites. I liked the story about the woman folding napkins in the nursing home. Everyone needs a purpose.
