A very well-written love poem. True love is a love that never stops, even when we are disappointed by the ones we love, we keep loving them from reality to beyond the grave.

This speaks a tribute to your deceased wife, you remember how she made love so gracious, real, meaningful and made her dearest, loveliest and most beautiful; well said, well done. Keep writing. DR ALCREATOR

First and foremost, Jay, I am very sorrowed to learn about your loss.
You well composed Shakespearean sonnet is not only a lovely ode to her memory but very well rhymed, metered and written as well.
It's easy to tell when something was written from the heart or merely written to "keep up" in the rankings.
IMHO, this one definitely came from the heart.
God bless,
~Dean

It's nice to meet a fellow sonnet lover and rhyme lover :) I'm not so great at sonnets, though I have vowed to write them lots this year and see if I can improve with them.

I enjoyed this tribute to your wife's memory. I'm sorry she is no longer with you. I find writing is my therapy, and when I lost my dad and brother it took me a while to be able to write about them or to them. Now I'm finding it gives me peace.

Your sonnet was practically perfect, except I had trouble with line nine. The meter seems off to me. Otherwise you have nice iambic pentameter, nice rhymes, and nice closing couplet.

Sincerely Joy xx

Hello!
What a beautiful and poignant tribute to your recently deceased wife. My husband and I have been married for nearly thirty-nine years, and I cannot begin to contemplate what my life would be like if he were gone. As you write, your spouse with "remain in precious memory" - and that can never be taken away from you...

Best Wishes,
diane
