Hi Jaybird you strike many a familiar, loving note within me with your words. I fortunately, still enjoy the precious relationship of my loving wife Pauline, but wonder how much longer we will be allowed to enjoy the company of one another, for age does begin to take its toll. Never a day goes by without we repeat our vows, in some form or another, said those many years ago. Even today, when we sit watching a movie or simply sitting and reminiscing on folks and times gone by, we hold hands and say nothing, it speaks volumes, regarding our relationship that was truly made in heaven. We have little time for the modern generation and their, here today gone tomorrow attitude. Ones who know little or nothing of true Love and the vows we made in a church. Many a night before we go to sleep, we repeat those same vows, with the same sincerity as when they were first made, 65 years ago. Through thick and thin, we've never once regretted what we pledged back then. Never go to sleep angry or with our nose out of joint! I can feel your pain and my heart goes out to you, for your loss. Fate can be, and often is, most unkind. Don't ever lose those precious memories of one who meant so much to you. Fondest regards, Pauline and Denis.

I am so sorry for your loss. I gather that you were married for many years. Enduring love is a beautiful thing. You have shared your deep feelings very well in this excellent rhyming poetry.
