Excellent poem with a beautiful message.
My favorite verse was the last stanza.
Love creates a feast from the bread of anxious toil
And calms the weary soul.
It rocks you while you grieve
And makes straight the crooked road.
Love is stronger than your struggles.
Very nicely done.
Blessings

Faith is a complicated thing to me. It's an easy thing to have faith when things are good but when they get hard, that's when the faith thing gets hard. You did a great job with this.

I admired your salute to faith in this free verse, along with your "compass" and "bread" metaphors. Thank you for sharing the stunning artwork as well. Best wishes in the contest- Joan

Your free style poem is a very nice poetic proclamation portraying pure faith.
At least if we have faith we have something to cling to.
Eloquently worded, wonderfully presented.
Best of luck to you in the contest.

A very well-written free verse poem and assurance of a higher hand protecting us and leading us in the right direction when it seems we are on the wrong track.

I found this piece to be wonderfully written, beautifully phrased, uplifting and inspiring in the message it was trying to convey! There is so much to love about this poem, not least the intelligent use of metaphor ("what guilt stole", "Heart's compass") and evocative imagery ("pain's dominion", "feast from the bread of anxious toil"), bringing to life the poet's belief in faith, grace and love as the bedrock of his existence.
A truly wonderful piece of writing, wish the poet all the very best for the competition!
Love, Owais

Hello Mystery Poet,
This is a terrific contest entry. You have described some wonderful ways that faith is good. You say it all in a unique and refreshing way. I myself find I struggle to write about my faith. It's just so hard to explain to others.
My favorite moment in your poem is the last line:
- "Love is stronger than your struggles"
I wish you well in this contest. You have a strong contender here.
Sincerely Joy xx
