Mustangs are great looking cars, I can see why you like them. Your story is interesting and you describe well your history with these good looking cars. I find commas confusing at times.

    Hi there;
    Thank you so much for the R&R. The first lesson in the Grammar club will be the comma - and I'm sure we will revisit it a few times. I think a lot of people struggle with them.

My doublefirst cousin heard in 1964 that Ford was making a pony car, and ordered one. It came in late '64, robin's egg blue 4-speed, 289/271 HP. Now it's rotting in his storage building, but his daughter won't sell. Oh, well. Looks like an excellent introduction article.

    Hi there;
    Thank you so much for the R&R. I bet his daughter could get a fortune just for the frame.

Very interesting story as always Patty! It is great to see why you've chosen your beloved screen name. I've always thought as Mustang as a horse, don't know why haha!

    Hi, Chloe;
    Thank you for the R&R. A mustang is a horse, too. I just happen to like the car that's named for them,

Thank you for sharing this information Patty. I never actually thought about your site name before.

I love Mustangs although we rarely see them here, so they are a novelty.

I am afraid I can't comment on your use of commas as I thoroughly dislike them.

    Hi, Freda;
    I think you're not alone in your loathing for the comma. I think it is the most misunderstood punctuation mark.

    Thank you for the R&R,

    We were taught that it is used to allow the reader to take a pause - end of education lol

Ah, it all makes so much sense now!! LOL! I am a mustang guy myself. My first car was a 1972 Grande, put a Holley double pumper on it. My sister had a 1969. Then I went on a long hiatus, before buying my 1999 35th anniversary GT. The only car I ever got to order from a dealer. My dream. Laser red, with grey leather interior, mach460 sound system, all power, including seat, cruise, loaded to the nut. I had that seat set perfect, and I once drove it 725 miles from Charleston to New York, no back pain. That was Grande Touring, I can tell you. I still miss the acceleration out of that 4.6 liter 8. estory

    Hi there;
    My 2006 and 2008 were both GTs. One was Windviel Blue and the other was candy apple red. They both had the amazing sound system with the extra speaker in the trunk. My 2006 was totaled when a truck rear-ended me, so that's why I got the 2008. Giving up my baby because I could no longer drive a manual when arthritis in my knees got so bad was one of life's harshest blows.

    I drove my baby from Oregon to New Mexico twice and I had my dog as a co-pilot and navigator. I'm glad I did those trips because it makes it easy to remember driving her at top speeds.

    Thank you for reading and sharing your Mustang stories with me,

I guessed the Mustang car had to be the reason, lol, it really does suit you. Fancy getting married to a man who didn't want one!! This is a really good entry, Patty, we've certainly got to know you! I have to write mine. I best see how long I've got. :) Sandra xxx

    Hi, Sandra;
    You've got until next week to come up with your introduction. Don't let it rattle you - its just an intro and name your grammar rule that drives you crazy,

Hi Patty,
This was an enjoyable, fun read. Thank you for sharing & starting the club.

I remember from school, my teacher would say, "When in doubt--don't".

My brother owns a 1988 Mustang. He loves it & it still runs.

Aha, I kind of thought there was a story to your pen name :) I didn't know you were in the army. I have been connected to the military all my lofe. My dad fought in the second world war as army. After the way he got out for a while and then went back in as air force. My husband served twenty years in the air force, and now that he's retired he works for a company that does military contracts. This was an all Canadian military family.

Good luck with the grammar lessons.

    Hi, Joy;
    My family is pretty much military; my father served in the Army at the tail end of WWII and then again during the Korean War. I was in the Army, my husband served in the Navy, and my children both enlisted in the Air Force. My daughter and son-in-law are still in and serving in Virginia. (My daughter sews on E7 rank tomorrow!!)

    I just came home from a retirement ceremony for my husband's cousin. He did twenty-six years in the National Guard.

And here I thought you rode wild mustangs. But you did tell me once it was the car, not the horse. Which is better? Cars go faster and don't leaves piles of poop. On the other hand, horses don't come in cheery red. I guess it's a toss-up.

    Hi, Phyllis;

    I will be using several different books to put together the lessons for the Grammar Club. I studied my Elements of Style for several weeks and suddenly found I could remember the things I learned at the hands of my fifth grade English teacher. She was tough!! (Of course, my college professors were too, but Miss Kendall really drilled the stuff into my head.)

    Thank you for the R&R,

Ha, this should be sub titled: My Love With Mustangs.
And here I was all this while thinking right from the start
Well, here's another girl who loves horseriding!
Thanks for correcting me and letting me have another
blmpse into your rich life. I didn't even know that you
were once stationed in my country.
The club, too, sounds great to me. I must think up a story
to enter so that I could join.

Well done, Patty.

    Hi, Aki;
    I was stationed in a little town called Schwaebish Hall. It was lovely and though our base was tiny, we had a good time. I returned to Germany in 2010 to visit with my daughter when she was stationed in Ramstein, and we went to see Schwaebisch Hall. The base is gone now, but the town still has its charm.
