Excellent

I know how pets struggle when they have to move. Being with a military family, we moved often with our pets. Some dogs adapted better than others. I really enjoyed reading this post.

Dogs adjust much more quickly than cats, dogs go with people, cats tend to familiar things, but both adjust in time. I liked your "looking through Bernie's eyes". It will of course take the boys some time to get accustomed and acclimated to their new surroundings, Patty.
But once they're settled in and everything is in its rightful place, they'll soon forget about the old house.
Our pets are so adaptable, aren't they? Sometimes even more so than we are.
