I'm glad that everyone is getting settled into the new house.
Moving can be a disturbing time for pets, but they generally adjust pretty quickly.
Well written and well done.

    Hi, Sharon;
    Thank you for the R&R. There are still some boxes, but I can cook and navigate without bumping into them.

    Thank you for asking; the boys are doing fine,

Pretty soon, both dogs were tired, and Howie curled himself into a little ball of taupe fir. Bernie licked his front paws one at a time and kept his ears tuned for the sounds of the Mistress's tapping.
Finally, Bernie lay his head down not too far from Howie, and his eyes began to close. This place was where he belonged; he wasn't lost - he was home.' I love your stories and reading about your gorgeous dogs. I am always delighted to read about them, they remind me of my two Buffy and Snoop. All my love and well done once more Meia x

This is a very good read and such a really cute story. I enjoyed it very much. I love the way you capture the dog's point of view. This was superbly written and very well done.

Dogs are happy to be wherever you are. I'm sure they'll love their new home as long as you are there with them. Moving cats is more challenging. Mine took weeks to adjust.

    Hi, Cindy;
    I think you're right. Once the boys found out they could still cuddle with me on the couch (when I finally sit for a moment,) they were just fine. Thank you so much for the R&R,

Bernie is a deep thinker. I'm glad he is adjusting to the changes that come with a new house. I love the way you take us into the mind of a dog. I wish I could see into my dog's dreams!

    Hi, Angela;
    Thank you so much for reading Bernie's latest story. Your six-star review made me happy and when I told Bernie, he gave a little tail wag,

Awww, I'm so glad they have adjusted to all the changes. I know it's hard on humans to make the changes, but on dogs, it can be even more difficult.

Thanks for sharing their lives with us,
Take care,
Rhonda

Good afternoon, Patty

Enjoyed the post. Out of sixes. One forgets how accustomed dogs become to their daily routines and look for any signs of it when they go to live in a new. Well done.

Take care and stay safe,

Ray

Congratulations on your new home. Bless their little hearts. Dogs feel something is wrong until they check things out and quickly adjust. It takes us humans weeks, maybe months to feel at home. :)

I started to read this and when it said they went to visit Maggie and there were tears, I stopped. I panicked thinking OMG she had to put her dogs down. Then I thought it was Howie. I didn't want to read a sad animal story, but, I kept going.

I can't tell you how relieved I was when they left the kennel. At that point, I realized they Bernie was not used to his new home. Nothing was where it was supposed to be.

I was relieved to read that it was their adjusting to the new home. Glad they have settled in.

    Oh, MJ;
    I'm sorry I had you worried. No, the boys are fine - if still a bit confused. I appreciate your time to read and for your feelings about my little boys,

Bless their hearts. Anywhere you are is home to them.

It always takes a while for our little guys to get used to a new place. When I moved from an apartment to this house, the three girls I had then belly-crawled around and we all sat in one chair. They weren't used to so much room. lol
