Hi when you have gone through so much, you do not need sympathy as you say, you need love and genuine support and I am happy you got both of them. The Lord may take his time but He does help eventually.
Bless you and God bless!

Hello

Hello Rhoda
I read your whole very painful ordeal
Years ago I recall being in dire pain, but nothing like what you had to bear.
Here is what I found out when I started to pray
an found comfort not to let pain not drain me down
I sought the Good Lord, He'll listened to me complain ~
helped eased my mind.
Gert

I like your comment on complaining to the Lord, because he'll listen. That is a simple, but true, fact.
Any suffering is bad, and I'm sure I'll forget a lot of it in time. I will remember that God saw me through it, though, and that's the most important thing.

Thank you for your kind review,
    Rhonda

    Hello Ronda
I have found yes as time moves on your body has a way to let go and wipes from your memory the intense pain.

It is always, I mean always, a double blessing receiving help from smart doctors and God. After going through with what you went through, it is a miracle to be standing and telling your story. I wish you continued good health.

Thank you, Phillip, and you're completely right, I am lucky. I've heard so many stories of people who succumbed to the same type of procedures I had. I have nothing but praise for the men and women who worked on me.

Thanks for the review and comments.

What an ordeal, Rhonda. I knew little vague details of this, but not to the extent in which you described here. I'm glad you're on the mend, back home, and writing.

It was more than I could insure.-- did you mean endure?

Take care,
Russell

Thank you for the review, Russell.
Yeah, I didn't tell many about all I went through, because I don't like a fuss being made, and because it was just too soon. I feel comfortable enough to share some of the details. The ugliest I kept out.
I know you were one of the people on this site that have helped me find my way back.

Funny, I didn't catch the insure/endure. Thanks for catching it for me.
    Take care,
    Rhonda

Good heavens, Rhonda. What a terrible ordeal.
I can't begin to imagine the kind of pain you were facing at the time.
Like you, if I'm in pain I will do everything in my power to alleviate it. But sometimes, everything within my power is just not enough. It takes my faith and trust in God to make it work effectively.
People should never underestimate the power of prayer.
Prayer not only lifts our spirits from the doldrums of our deepest depression, it can also heal as well.
I spent a great deal of time in the hospital last year due to my Congestive Heart Failure. My kidneys were producing far too much protein for my body to process properly and my liver enzymes were through the roof. As a direct result, my legs filled with water and swelled to three times their normal size.
The pain and pressure were excruciating.
With lots of prayer from friends and family, and by the grace of God, I walked out after about a month of constant care.
I've no doubt that without all the prayers, I would have never made it through.
I'm so glad to hear you're doing better.
God bless!
~Dean

Wow, Dean, I had no idea what you had been through! What a trouper as you still kept writing.
I had meant to, but somehow just couldn't dredge up the imagination. It was one of my greatest losses.
I'm so glad yours was a happy ending as well.
Like you, I don't often talk about personal suffering. I prefer fantasy to reality, for the most part.
Thank you so much for reading and reviewing, and thank you for sharing your story, too.
I remember you once said there are no atheists in fox holes. I'll add to that, there are none in hospital beds either.
    Hugs,
    Rhonda

Hi Rhonda, I knew some of this story, but the drain sounds awful! So glad you made it through it all. It's wonderful so many were praying for you.

Yes, you did know a lot, and you were a great support for me. I knew you and your prayers were there, and without even knowing the details. In the end, they don't really matter. The point of the post was to let people know what God delivered me through. He's there in the rough times as well, and that's what I never understood to the extent I did in this ordeal.

    Thanks ever so much,
    Rhonda

You're welcome. I think everything we go through is a lesson and for us to grow closer to God. Meanwhile, He's busy pruning and refining us.

Yes, indeed. The strangest thing is, until I posted this, I've struggled so much with ideas. Once I did, the ideas started flowing like they did before...

Oh, I'm doing well. If I wasn't, I wouldn't have posted it. I wrote it right after I got out of the hospital and was still weak as a kitten. I'm just glad to have it all behind me.

Thanks for the wonderful review, my friend.

-Thank you for sharing this, Rhonda.
-It couldn't have been easy to sit
down and write it, but from your
opening paragraphs, it is obvious
your courage came from your faith.
-I am a strong believer that that is true,
even though at times, it is hard to see your
way through the tunnel, but we do get there.
-What you went through is unbelievable,
but I am so glad that your faith, family, and
friends in your life and on FS, too, gave
you the courage to deal with this.
-May God bless you and your family always, my friend.

Thank you so much for reading this post.
It was easy to write, but hard to post, if that makes sense. You know I'm a deeply personal person, and opening up about what I went through wasn't easy.
However, I felt it necessary to come full circle with the incident.
I appreciate the support you gave me all along the way. It was priceless.
I learned a lot about faith when I went through this. I learned much I didn't know, and am glad I did learn it.
As far as going through the experience, I'd rather have found out an easier way. lol.

Thank you for the stars and the warmth.
    Take care,

You are very welcome for the stars and for reading your post, Rhonda. I do understand about sharing a personal matter. I am always glad to be supportive of you, my friend, especially at what was a difficult time; You are right about what you learn, but an easier way would have been better! Wishing nothing but the best for you.

Hello Rhonda,
An incredible testament to your own strength and perseverance.
The great thing is that it wasn't malignant and they removed it early enough.
You look great in the photo, but what an ordeal to have to go through.
The power of faith and the human spirit.
Wishing you well in all things, my friend.

    Thank you so much, Robert.
I know you were there during it all, or at least knew I was sick and supported me.
I feel I'm very much on the mend, and back in business in all ways.
In fact, I was shoveling compost from the back of a trailer all weekend, and that takes a lot of abdominal muscles.
I considered playing the "surgery" card, but I'm surrounded by farmers, and they just keep going, no matter what.
I'm knew in farming, but I didn't want my 80 year-old mother-in-law to outwork me. haha.
Oh, and the photo was when I first got out of the hospital. I've gained a bit of it back since then...

Thanks for the stars and the comments.
    Take care,
    Rhonda

You look great on this photo. I can't say I misses you consciously, as I had to many other things on my plate. I am so sorry for you, that you had to endure all this. That should not be in this time and age. I can relate to what you write about your weight loss. My one occurred after my oesophagus operation, I am stable now at a proper weight.

Thank you, Robina. I was out of posting for several months, but there are many who come and go on here, and it's hard to keep up. There were some who kept up with me on Facebook and email. People on here can be a great support.

Thanks for the read and review,
