Beautiful, Jan! I don't usually read "type" poetry but the title caught my eye. A great title it is too. The words are all well chosen to show us dawn breaking. The picture is perfect, but the poem is good enough that we don't need a photo to see it. :)

Thank you for your great review & comments. Both are appreciated. Nonets look best centered & with the words of each line forming an isosceles triangle without needing to add extra spaces etc. The dashes I included are really part of the sentence. Jan

This is a beautiful poem and the picture you chose to post with it goes so well with the words you wrote. I don't see the dawn very often anymore and have to settle for sunsets. The dawn brings such promise of a new day though.

Earth presents undulating waves
of colors--ebbing, flowing,
swirling, twirling,

(The breaking of the golden dawn)
