I hate flowers but this made me want to like them. I look at couple who've been married for years with awe because they are such an inspiration to me. The divorce rate is still high and I know a lot of divorced people so it's a huge deal when you stick it out and work through the issues that come up. I hope you framed this and put it on the wall.

Hi Janet, this is a lovely entry to the Love Poem contest. Perfectly describing true love. Written in good sonnet form with well written abab rhyme. Good turn in the third stanza and I love the couplet. The iambic meter is fine and the whole is a lovely read. Even more romantic is the author note - he sends roses. LOL. Good luck in the contest.
